The Douglas County Fish and Game League, founded in Superior, WI, in 1905, was started by concerned Sportsman to insure the protection and management of fish and game as well as the natural resources in the state of Wisconsin.
Mission Statement: “The Douglas County Fish and Game League is committed to insuring the protection and management of natural resources and wildlife habitat for fish and game. With over 100 years of service to the public, we are dedicated to educating youth in archery and fishing, firearm safety, and the operation of ATVs and watercraft. Our objective is to provide an enjoyable outdoor experience for the benefit of kids and adults, today, tomorrow and future generations.”
Maintaining and improving the rifle range and archery range, Wood Duck houses throughout Douglas County, fish cribs on the St. Louis River, release of wild turkeys and "Kids Fun Day" at the Brule Fish Hatchery are just a few of the projects that the League has participated in over years.
